Rhea E. Mickens-Odums April 13, 2022 There are few words to express the deep pain and sorrow of losing our beloved mother, Rhea Mickens, who departed this life in the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, Florida. We want to honor her by keeping her memory alive and hold a small family and friend memorial service on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, at Belle Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Rhea is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Raymond Fairfax and Juanita Ellien Fairfax; her loving husband, Mancy L. Odums; her beloved son, Master Sergeant James D. Mickens, Jr. (Brenda); and her brother, Ambrose (Buzzy) Fairfax. Rhea’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts and minds of her two loving daughters: Juanita Mickens and Frances Mickens, as well as her stepdaughter, Verna Chyrell Hudson, and her devoted son, Pernell Mickens (Gwendolyn) of Tampa, Florida; her brother, Clifford Jackson Fairfax; and her sister, Schwanna (Huckle) Fairfax, as well as her honorary sister, Lydia Fairfax-Hunter; nine grandchildren (one deceased), nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, four step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
