Richard I. Kimber April 5, 2022 Richard I. Kimber, 86, of Manlius, passed away at home surrounded by family. He was born in Winter Park, FL the son of the late James and Hattie Kimber. After he graduated high school Richard proudly served in the United States Navy. In his younger years he was a local Milk Carrier for Gates Farm. He worked at Morgan Badgley for over 30 years and the Mapstone Businesses until his retirement. Richard was a member of the Manlius Fire Department for over 50 years and a member of the Manlius American Legion Post 141. He enjoyed camping, gardening, and his barn. Richard is predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Kimber. Surviving are his children, Karen (Rob Mower) Stearns of Sylvan Beach, Diane (Scott) Wilson of Pompey and Michael (Stephanie) Kimber of Manlius; sister, Nancy Caskey; brothers, Kim Kimber and Tom (Dianne) Kimber; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, April 7th, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd., Manlius. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8th, at Manlius Village Cemetery, Military Drive Manlius.
