Donald L. Piddock April 1, 2022 Donald L. Piddock, 70, of Minoa, passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side. He was born in Syracuse, graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1970, and received a degree in mechanical engineering from SUNY Morrisville. Don retired in 2010 from the Fayetteville-Manlius School District in the transportation department. He also owned his own business, Chittenango Auto Repair. He had many collections: clocks, cars, tools and ebay treasures. He had a passion for aviation and had received his pilots license. He built his camp on Raquette Lake where he loved to spend his summers. He always had a story or joke to tell and did so with great animation; his laugh was contagious. His nicknames included “The Prankster” and “Tinker Smith”. He enjoyed many projects and good times with his friends. Don was a loyal and devoted protector, who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He gave whatever he could, providing homes, cars and help to those he loved and only asked for love in return. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rebecca Piddock and his parents, Alton and Margaret Piddock. He is survived by his wife, Laura; children, Sarah Piddock Arroyo (Manuel), Tracy Resch (Tom); sister, Susan Stafford (Douglas); grandchildren, Cassandra Beechner (Chris Cook), Autumn Beechner (Austin Needle), David Beechner, Mason Cruz, Daisy Arroyo and Oliver Arroyo; great-grandson, Alexzander Needle; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 4:30 to 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 7th at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepps Corners Rd., Minoa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spartan Garage, East Syracuse Minoa High School, 6400 Fremont Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057. For guest book, please visit: www.SCHEPPFAMILY.com
