Ronald Thomas Wolfram February 16, 2022 Ronald (“Rondo”, “Hondo”, “Ronnie”) Thomas Wolfram, 57, passed away peacefully Wednesday after a brief illness. The big guy was born Christmas Day 1964 in Syracuse to Gerhard and Ella Wolfram. Ron was a 1983 graduate of West Genesee High School and attended SUNY Delhi. After college, Ronnie was blessed with the gift of meeting his beautiful wife, Sue, or “Susie Sunshine”, while working at Pizza Hut. They eventually became the proprietors of Zaah’s Pizza in Camillus, where everyone came to know them, in part, because Susie always greeted everyone with a big smile while Ron counted the pennies. They had two girls, Olivia “Livy” and Claire, who Ron continued to raise and guide after Susie’s passing several years ago from breast cancer. They were the true two sparkling diamonds in Ron’s life that brought him so much happiness, particularly around the holidays, where he loved to get together and celebrate family and friendship. He met yet another diamond over the last year, falling in love with Denise, who had become an important part of the family he so loved. To Ron, the world was his playground where, as a perpetual prankster, he could cause just enough trouble not to get into trouble. A little snicker, a twinkle in his eye, and an innocent look like, “What !” and you knew that he either had just done something or was about to. Either way, there was something magnetic about Ron, making friends no matter where he went. He still has countless close friends from high school, in part, because of his unique ability to make you feel welcome and to make you laugh, regardless of the situation. Hondo was a dedicated father, good Christian, great golfer, inconsistent bowler, good cook, questionable security guard, laundromat owner, self-appointed politician, lawn mowin’, Aldi shoppin’, boat lovin’ sailor who loved Skaneateles Lake. He also had a passion for finding good deals, including the free samples at Costco and the Farmer’s Market. Ron will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his love for life will carry on with all of us. He always said: “Life is too short! You need to get out and enjoy it!” There are no truer words. Ronald was predeceased by his wife of 23 years, Susan, in 2013; parents, Gerhard and Ella Wolfram; step-mother, Ginny; and uncle, Guenter Wolfram. Surviving are his daughters, Olivia (Stefan) Wolfram and Claire (Jon) Lauer, both of Camillus; sister, Hanna (Jim) Pecori; brother, Herbert (Eleanor) Wolfram; nephew, James Pecori; niece, Laura Pecori; girlfriend, Denise Neimeier; and several aunts, uncles and cousins: Aleita Wolfram, Dick (Hedy) Wilson, Peter (Lily) Meier, Thomas (Ruth) Naguschewski, Erwin and Regina Reiner and Mark and Joan Meier; the Huegels, Lauers, O’Hallorans and Sauros. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, February 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Wednesday, February 23 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. Entombment will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Special Olympics (Central Region), 6315 Fly Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057. Share condolences at www.BuranichFH.com
